2010 planting contract in the Quesnel TSA:
1- Ques2010-03: 297,917 seedlings,220 ha.
One of the primary objectives of the FFT program is to involve First Nations in at least 25% of the annual delivery of projects. This RFP attempts to identify a qualified contractor or First Nation that will partner with BA Blackwell in helping to not only achieve this annual target, but to build First Nations planting capacity for the future. The focus of this project will be planting training. Proposals must demonstrate a commitment to help achieve these goals in a cost effective manner. Furthermore, this planting project will impact the sites within the traditional territories of local First Nations communities, therefore proposals that demonstrate involvement with those affected First Nations will achieve higher scores than those that do not.
A Mandatory Proponent's meeting (office and field) will be held on Friday November 6th, 2009 at 9:00 am. Interested companies shall meet at the office of B.A. Blackwell office located at 72 south 7th Avenue, Williams Lake B.C. (250- 398- 8377). Those attending the viewing must bring personal field and PPE including a hard hat, boots and radio equipped truck.
