Arrow TSA update
The following activities are on-going in the Arrow TSA:

  • Wildfire surveys in Pend O'Reille, Penstock and other small '03 fire areas.  These are stocking surveys to determine the next course of action and to determine if further treatment is warranted.
  • Danger Tree Assessing in Pend O'Reille, Chapleau and Springer Creek fire areas.  A First Nations contractor has been hired to complete the Danger Tree Assessments for areas proposed for planting in 2010.
  • Planning for 2010 planting.  600,000 seedlings will be planted in the Arrow TSA in the spring of 2010.  Contracts are being tendered (see FFT bid opportunities for details) and seedlings are online.  Areas to be planted in 2010 are:  Springer, Pend O'Reille and Chapleau/Lemon Creek
